International Traineeship Program
The Graduate Schools for Law and Politics, The University of Tokyo has been implementing the "International Traineeship Program" as part of the activities of the Global COE Program "Soft Law in the Interaction between the State and the Market: Forming Educational and Research Bases for the Formation of Private Order" since 2008, and has dispatched interns and graduate students as trainees to overseas law firms and international organizations with the aim of training internationally competitive lawyers.
Since the end of the Global COE Program in FY 2013, it has continued as a program of the Institute of Business Law and Comparative Law & Politics (Business Law Center). The "International Traineeship Program" is supported by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, McDermott Will & Emery, Van Bael & Bellis, and Bredin Prat.
